Commercial and Business Litigation
- Mr. Kaufman represents the firm’s clients in a variety of commercial and business litigation matters in both state and federal courts, including breach of contract, fiduciary duty, bad faith, and declaratory relief actions. Mr. Kaufman also provides counsel regarding business formation and corporate law matters.
Consumer Warranty Defense
- Mr. Kaufman represents the firm’s clients in consumer warranty matters with an emphasis on defending manufacturers and distributors in all aspects of Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and Unfair Business Practices claims. He has represented clients at all stages of consumer warranty litigation, from pre-litigation attempts at resolution through mediation, law and motion practice, leading up to and including trial. In addition, Mr. Kaufman has conducted training seminars regarding consumer litigation at both the state and federal levels.
Products Liability
- Mr. Kaufman represents the firm’s clients in the defense of products liability claims in both state and federal courts. Mr. Kaufman’s products liability experience includes second-chairing a three-week products liability trial involving allegations of brake and airbag defects, resulting in a defense verdict. Most recently, Mr. Kaufman successfully disposed of a significant products liability matter via summary judgment.
